The Sex Talk Arabic (TST) is an intersectional feminist digital organisation tackling issues of sexual violence in Arabic-speaking societies through advocacy, knowledge production and service provision. TST supports individuals and communities with alternative and accessible knowledge and resources that enable them to make informed decisions about their bodies, relationships, health, and rights.  

About the vacancy

We are excited to announce a full-time remote position for a highly skilled and creative Graphics and Illustration Officer. We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual who is proficient in graphic design, illustration, filming, and video/audio editing. The selected candidate will contribute to effectively communicate our organisation’s mission, values, and initiatives through audio and visual mediums.

Objective

The Graphics and Illustration Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing compelling visual content that enhances TST’s communication and digital advocacy efforts across various platforms and targeting a diverse audience. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the media and communication manager in conceptualising, producing, and editing audio/visual content including graphics, videos, podcasts, animations, and multimedia presentations.
  • Collaborate with the media and communication manager to develop creative briefs, storyboards, scripts, and shot lists for audio/visual projects.
  • Plan and coordinate audio/visual production schedules, including shooting, recording, and editing timelines.
  • Conduct interviews, capture footage, and record audio as needed for content creation.
  • Ensure all audio/visual content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and messaging across all multimedia projects.
  • Optimise audio/visual content for distribution across various platforms, including social media, websites, and presentations.
  • Design graphics, illustrations and other visual elements for various multimedia projects.
  • Conduct post-production tasks, including editing, colour grading, and sound mixing to produce high-quality final products.
  • Manage and organise digital assets, including video files, graphics, and project files.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and expertise: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Production, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Proven experience in graphic design, illustration, filming, and video/audio editing.
  • Proficiency in audio and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to convey complex ideas through audio and visual mediums.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent creative and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional, diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of photography, videography, lighting, and sound recording techniques.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and social media platforms.
  • Previous experience working with NGOs, feminist organisations or in the Sexual Health and Rights field is an advantage.
